Saffron is a perennial plant belonging to the Iridaceae family. Its noble part, the flower, contains three bright red filaments, called stigmi (or stimmi), whose active ingredients (picrocrocin, safranal, chronic), concentrated along a single whole style, give the saffron taste, aroma and color , also ensuring significant benefits for the health of the body and mind.

 

Cultivation, harvesting and hulling are done manually. The product, dried in the laboratory, maintains its organoleptic properties unaltered.

Store the Saffron in a cool and dry place. Our pure Saffron in Stimmi is packaged in our factory in Trecastagni, on the slopes of Etna.

 

Saffron gives an original touch to every dish: both sweet and salty. Infuse at least 8 hours before each use.
